HP and Lexmark Maintenance Count Resets
HP

LJ IIIsi

Push and hold the [MENU] key until "Configuration Menu" appears in the display, go through this menu until you see "Service Message = on" turn it "off" and push the [ENTER] key.


LJ 4si, 5si

Press the [MENU] key until you see "Configuration Menu" press the [ITEM] key until you see "Service Message=off" and press the [SELECT] key. The display should show "Service Message = off*" On these printers going in to the "Configuration Menu and turning the "Service Message" off will only clear the service message for about 10,000 pages, and then it will re-appear.  To clear and reset the maintenance message, power off the printer, push and hold the left side of [ITEM] and [Value] and power the machine back on. "Resetting the maintenance" count will appear in the display, once this occurs you can release the keys.


LJ 4100MFP, 4200, 4300, 9000

Power off the printer, push and hold down the [SELECT] button and power the printer on. Continue to hold the button until all three LEDs come on and stay on, then release the button. "Select Language" should appear in the display, press the up button until you see "New Maintenance Kit" and press the [SELECT] key.


LJ 4240/50, 4350, 9040, 9050

Power the printer off and then turn it back on. The machine will start powering up, the backlight of the display will come on and the printer will start counting its memory. This is when you want to push and hold the [SELECT] button. Continue to hold the button until all three LEDs come on and stay on, then release the button. "Select Language" should appear in the display, press the up or down arrow until you see "New Maintenance Kit" and press the [SELECT] key.


CLJ 4600, 4650, 5500, 5550, 4610, 9500

With the power on press the down arrow button until the display reads "Configure Device" menu. Press the [SELECT] button and using the down arrow button scroll through this menu until the display reads "Resets" and press the [SELECT] button. Then press the down arrow button again until the screen reads "Reset Supplies" and press the [SELECT] button. Once you get to this menu this is where you can reset the fuser and the transfer belt maintenance life.


LJ 4345MFP, 9000MFP/9040MFP/9050MFP M5025/35MFP, M4345, M9040/50MFP

Turn the printer on. Once the printer starts counting the installed memory press and hold the #6 button until all three LEDs flash once and stay no. Once the LEDs stay on release the #6 button "Select Language" should appear, and then press the #3 button once and release it. then press the #6 key again to select "New Maintenance Kit." After this is completed the printer should reinitialize.


LJ M5025

With the printerpowered on press the "Administration" button on the control panel, scroll through the menu and press the "Resets" button.  Once you are to this point, select "Clear Maintenance Message"


P4014/15, P4515 (With latest Firmware Rev. installed) Current as of 5-25-2010

Turn the product power off and back on. When XXX MB appears on the display, press and hold down the 'OK' button until all three display lights flash once and then remain on (this may take up to 10 seconds). Then release the 'OK' button, the display should read "Select Language". Now press the 'up arrow' to scroll to NEW MAINENANCE KIT. Press 'OK' to reset the maintenance kit counter. 


CLJ4700, CP4005, 4730, CM4730MFP, CP6015, CM6030MFP, CM6040MFP, CP4025, CP4525

The fuser counter will only reset when a new fuser is installed in the printer.


Lexmark

Optra S & E

Hold down the [GO] and [Return] buttons and power on the printer, continue to hold these keys until "Performing Self Test" appears in the display. Once this appears, release the buttons. This will allow you to access the "Diagnostics Menu", the printer may display "80 Scheduled Maintenance." Press the [GO] Button to bypass this and this should get you in to the "Diagnostic Mode". Using the arrow keys, scroll to "Printer Setup" menu and press [Select]. Then using the arrow keys scroll to "Reset Maintenance Count" ("Maintenance Count Value" only allows you to view the page count). To exit Diagnostics Mode just cycle the power.


Optra T610/12/14/16 Lexmark T520/22, T620/22, T630/32/34

Press and hold down the [Select] and [Return] keys while powering on the printer, hold these buttons until the display reads "Performing Self Test." If the display readds "80 Schedules Maintenance", press the [Go] to continue past this message and access the Configuration Menu. Press the menu button until the display reads "Reset Maint Cnt" on the second line of the display and press the [Select] button. The top line of the display should now read "Reset Maint Cnt" and the second line will read "Reset" and press the [Select] button. This will reset the counter. To exit out of the "Configuration Mode" cycle the power.


Lexmark T640/42/44, T650/52/54

Press and hold the [Checkmark] and the [right arrow] button while powering on the printer. When "Performing Self Test" appears in the display, release the buttons. The "Config Menu" will appear in the display. Use the down arrow to scroll through this menu until you see "Reset Maint Cnt" and press the [Checkmark]. The display will read "Reset". When this happens press the [Checkmark] button again, this will reset the maintenance counter. To exit out of this menu, just cycle the power on the printer.
